When I was little, I
had a dream to be a medical doctor. Since I knew that there had
been too many doctors in Indonesia, I changed my dream and later decided to be a miner, just
from a simple thought that it would give me bright future. I entered
Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB)
in 1994 and successfully finished my study on February 27th 1999. Then I
started working as researcher and reader at Geomechanics Laboratory ITB,
and am still registered as 'jumping-ready-labor' at Bina Pertambangan
Mining Consultant. My practical skill sharpen as
I was often sent from one mine
to others for various kind of projects (mainly related with
Geotechnics and Blasting).
I started my master
program in August 2000. Then I got scholarship to do research in
Austria, I flew to Austria in March 2001 and got involve with research
project so called Less Fines Project at
Montanuniversitaet Leoben. How
to minimize fines resulted from rock blasting operation. I returned to
ITB to continue my master program in October 2001 that has been
postponed for almost a year. I wrote my thesis titled
Optimization of
Blasting Fragmentation based on Optimized Comminution. Same with the
date of my bachelor graduation, I passed the defense for my thesis
on September 27th 2002. I could not attend my graduation
cause I had to fly to Japan early. Here I am doing my PhD at
Kyushu
University. I still want to be a miner, then back to my alma mater. Well
what will be will be. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. For sure
I will always do my best, and MINE is mine. Glueckauf!

 I was born late at
night on May 13th 1976. I have two brothers and three sisters. I am the
5th. I grew up in Bandung close to train station. I got my first scar
when I was 9, the best bloody fighting I ever had. I walked from home to
school when I was kindergarten and elementary. I spent most of my time
inside public transport when I was teenager, since my school kilometers
away from home. Four times grounded from motorcycle. I lived separately
from home for the first time when I was 23 in Austria. Now I am living
in Fukuoka Japan. The best living city in Asia-Pacific. I believe in
Christ and will always be like that.
